New Books Tuesdays 9.17.24
Tuesdays are New Book Day in the Publishing Industry. For a bookseller, like me, it feels like Christmas every week. One, I sometimes forget what all I had preordered (oops, I get a little overzealous where books are concerned). And two, who doesn’t view new books of sorts like Christmas?!?
Here’s what was featured in my New Books Tuesdays Video this week. I think of it as a sort of “Playlist” of Books! (click titles to order or read more about the books)
Evil in Me by Brom - Features stunning cover art, an 8-page full-color insert, and chapter illustrations. Evil In Me has more psychedelic and vibrant paintings than any of his previous books.
Phantasma by Kaylie Smith - Out earlier this month and I forgot to feature it. I have been seeing this book EVERYWHERE! It is on my tbr list… always sign me up for the morally grey love interests.
Such Lovely Skin by Tatiana Schlote-Bonne - For fans of The Ring, Tell Me a Secret is a techno-horror about a streamer finding supernatural evil in her video game.
The Sunflowers: Vincent van Gogh's Search for Beauty by Zahra Marwan - This children’s book is beautiful and I’m sure all ages will enjoy it!
A Bit Much by Lyndsay Rush - I haven’t read this collection yet, but I’m looking forward to diving into this debut and feeling all the feels based on the buzz I’m hearing.
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by Patrick Horvath and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou - I have been waiting a couple of months for this to come out. I’m soooo excited by a creepy/murdery version of Richard Scarry, maybe more than I should be.
Banned Books, Crop Tops, and Other Bad Influences by Brigit Young - Just in time for Banned Books Week, a new Middle Grade read censorship and book bannings.
We Are Hunted by Tomi Oyemakinde - This YA read about animals gone haywire, is perfect for those who enjoyed Jurassic Park!
Bringer of Dust by J.M. Miro - I have yet to read book one, but these books sound so good! A mix of historical fiction, fantasy, and throwback to Dicken-like classics.
The Lies We Conjure by Sarah Henning - This YA read is Knives Out meets The Inheritance Games with magic in this standalone supernatural thriller by Sarah Henning: thirteen witches, a locked-room murder, and two non-magical sisters trapped in a deadly game of Clue.
The Graveyard Club by R.L. Stine - Definitive horror master R.L. Stine introduces a new cast of devilish teens in a brand new graphic novella!
Plus so many more!!!!!
